“Starting and Ending with Music – A Neurotransmitter’s Circle of Life”

Dr Efthymios Papatzikis is based in London and affiliated as a Post-Doctoral researcher to the Institute of Education (University of London). He also holds a research/consultancy post within the Botin Foundation (Spain) and a part-time lectureship within the Metropolitan College/University of East London joined postgraduate programme in Special Education. His current research work mostly focuses on the ‘Educational Neuroscience of Music’ field studying brain development (Auditory Brainstem Response) in the early music education years.

The talk will be hosted by Prof. Steve Reid, Director of the Primary Health Care Directorate in the Faculty of Health Sciences, UCT.


Go into the main entrance of the Health Science Faculty, Barnard Fuller Building, go through security, turn right up the circular staircase, at the top of the staircase turn left, go all the way down the passage and the MAC Club will be on your left-hand-side.
